The things people ask
Is the price I see the price I pay?
Yes. The figure quoted in the app is what is charged — it is calculated on our servers from what you selected, not estimated. If a job genuinely grows once your pro is there, they send you an amendment and nothing changes until you accept it.
Why does the site not show a full breakdown?
Because the app does, against the job you actually described. Most work is a starting price plus the options you pick, handyman work is priced by the hours you book, and the total is put in front of you before you book. Painting and plumbing installations are quoted per job, because no two are alike.
What is surge pricing?
When most of our professionals are already working, prices rise a little so the ones still available go to the jobs that need them most. It is shown as its own line before you pay, never folded into the total.
What happens if I cancel?
Free until 24 hours before. After that a tiered fee applies — 25%, 50% or 75% depending on how close to the slot you cancel — and it goes to the professional who kept the time free, in full. We take no commission on a cancellation fee.
Do refunds come back to my card?
Refunds are issued as ABEL credit, which is applied automatically to your next booking and doesn't expire while your account is open. If nobody took your booking, or your pro cancelled, you can ask for it back on your card instead.
Can I cancel a membership?
Any time, from the app. You keep the benefits until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
